The Emporia High girls basketball team will be playing for 3rd place in the Glaciers Edge basketball tournament.
The Lady Spartans were out scored by Wichita Heights 69-35 in Friday nights semi-final. Heights built on their lead through out the game. Leading by 8 after the first quarter, by 16 at halftime and by 28 going to the 4th quarter.
Emporia High Coach Carolyn Dorsey was encouraged by parts of the game.
Gracie Gilpin was the leading scorer with 15 points. Mya Tovar added 11.
The Lady Spartans will play Great Bend in the 3rd place game.
Washburn Rural defeated Great Bend 57-30 in the other championship semi-final.
Tip-off for the 3rd place game is set for 12:30p.
The Championship game between Wichita Heights and Washburn Rural is set for 2pm.

Hutchinson defeated Life Prep 49-10.
Goddard Eisenhower out scored Wichita South 62-22.
Saturday at 11am Life Prep plays Wichita South for 7th place.
Hutchinson plays Goddard Eisenhower for 5th place.
