The Emporia High School Chorale has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity coming up, and to help fund this trip, students have organized a Disney-themed fundraiser called a Disney Extravaganza.
This opportunity will be a trip to New York City for the Chorale to debut at Carnegie Hall. Students and staff alike are ecstatic for this honor and have been fundraising all year. Disney Extravaganza is unique from other fundraisers in that it is completely student-produced, says EHS Chorale member Orian Turner.
While on the trip to New York City, students will get to sing in Carnegie Hall, watch two musicals, participate in a workshop with Broadway performers, and still have time for tourist activities.
At this Disney Extravaganza, EHS Chorale members will be performing different songs from popular Disney movies like Frozen, The Lion King, The Princess and the Frog, and much more.
Disney Extravaganza will take place on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7:00 pm at the auditorium at the Emporia High School. The event is free to attend; however, freewill donations will be accepted to fund the trip to New York.
