Jamie Sauder says he was humbled to receive the Sunflower Association of Realtors’ Distinguished Service Award this past weekend.
On KVOE’s Newsmaker 3 segment Monday, Sauder said he had no idea the award was coming until the presenter announced his time leading two different realty associations — the Emporia Area Association of Realtors before leading Sunflower after the merger five years ago between the Emporia Area, Topeka Area and Northeast Kansas Associations of Realtors. Sauder served on Sunflower’s board as president in 2015 and as past president in 2016. He recently returned to the board and says his time has helped him at the local, regional and state levels.
Sauder said this was an award he did not set out to achieve.
Sauder has over 13 years of experience in real estate ranging from residential and commercial sales to new construction and property management. He and Kristi Mohn started Emporia Realty Group in 2011 before the firm became associated with Coldwell Banker in 2016.
Sunflower serves eight counties all told, including Lyon, Greenwood and Osage counties in the KVOE listening area. More information about Sunflower is online at www.sunflowerrealtors.com.
