Lyon County Attorney Marc Goodman is among the county officials up for re-election this year. On KVOE’s Talk of Emporia on Friday, Goodman said he plans to run.
This would be Goodman’s sixth term in office, and he hinted this could be his last term if elected. He is the first candidate for the position.
This has been a busy week for election filings or announcements at the county level. County Commissioner Rollie Martin has filed for re-election to the Third District, while Robert McClelland and Phil Mott have filed to represent the Second District.
