This is the night as the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce holds its 123rd annual meeting.
Activities will be in the Emporia State Memorial Union Webb Hall. Chamber President and CEO Jeanine McKenna says the night highlights the Chamber’s role in the business community and the Emporia community as a whole.
Activities start at 5:30 pm and will include dinner, a review of last year’s accomplishments and a preview of upcoming or ongoing work this year and the gavel handoff between current Chair of the Chamber Board Russ Bonitatibus and incoming Chair Kala Maxfield. A key part of the night will be the formal recognition of the Chamber’s annual award winners — Don Hill with the Lifetime Achievement Award, IM Design for Business of the Year, Ignite Emporia as Committee of the Year and Matt Johnson as Volunteer of the Year.
