Olpe students had some unexpected time off Thursday.
A gas leak developed outside the school around 2:30 pm. Superintendent Mike Argabright says a contract crew hit a line — part of a project to install a new school marquee, according to the school’s social media. That forced a brief evacuation of the building. Argabright credited staff for doing “a great job” of keeping students safe.
Classes are on as scheduled Friday.
