(esu) More post season honors for two Emporia State football players.
Jace McDown and Lawson Holbert have been named 1st team all super region 3 by the Don Hansen football committee.
McDown earned First-Team All-MIAA honors this season. He finished the season tied for second in the MIAA with 95 total tackles.
Holbert led the MIAA and ranked 11th in the nation with seven interceptions and is tied for fifth on the Emporia State single season list. He also had 72 total tackles to rank second for the Hornets. He was also a first-team All-MIAA and D2CCA All-Region selection.
