US Senator Jerry Moran has a new committee position.
Moran was confirmed as the chair of the Senate’s Veterans’ Affairs Committee this week. Moran says he has made improving the quality of life for veterans a top priority during his time as a lawmaker, and he says he is committed to making sure veterans have “the right resources at the right time to achieve success after service.”
Moran has served on the committee since he was first elected to the Senate in 2011. He also served on the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee from 1998 to 2010.
