Early Monday morning Ashley Weimer and Gage Smith welcomed not only their third child into the world but also Newman Regional Health’s first newborn of 2020.
Weimer tells KVOE News the birth of their son Holden Dean Smith came as quite the surprise to the young couple.
Holden was born at 3:40 am Monday morning weighing 7 lbs 7.8 oz. Gage Smith says not only is Holden an exciting addition to their family, which consists of two older sisters 8-year-old Hayley and 4-year-old Khloe Smith, he is also the couple’s first child to not require a visit to the nursery following his birth.
Smith continues saying the family is very adventurous and they’re already looking forward to several family summer outings for fishing and camping as well as a few trips to Colorado later this year. As is tradition, the Newman Regional Health Auxillary gifted the family a lovely basket full of diapers, keepsakes, books and other essential newborn items.
