The Lyon County Extension Office is taking no time jumping into the new year by offering several new workshops, lectures, programs, and more.
Extension Agent Brian Rees recently joined KVOE’s Newsmaker segment to discuss the various upcoming programs they are offering. One such program is the 2020 Soybean School.
‘Calling All Coyotes’ is another program focused on topics of coyote behavior, calling, and trapping from Extension Wildlife Specialist Charlie Lee. Rees asks for everyone to RSVP by Jan. 6 with the event itself taking place Jan. 8 at the Bowyer Community Building. There is no registration cost for this event.
A ‘Grant Writing Workshop’ has also been announced covering all grant-related topics. RSVP by Jan. 16 for the event. It will take place at the Lyon County History Center from 9:30 am until 3:30 pm on Jan. 23. Registration for this event is $30.
To register, call (620) 341-3220. For more information on each of the events, visit lyon.k-state.edu.
