A 23 yard field goal with 2 seconds remaining lifted Navy past Kansas State 20-17 in the Liberty Bowl Tuesday.
Kansas State took a 7-3 lead on a 66 yard punt return for a touchdown by Phillip Brooks. The game was tied at 10 at halftime. Navy would take a 17-10 lead in the 3rd quarter. The Wildcats tied the game at 17 on a 1 yard plunge by quarterback Skylar Thompson with 5:14 to play in the game. Navy would convert two 3rd down plays and a 4th down play that would set up the game winning field goal.
Navy quarterback Malcom Perry rushed for 213 yards and threw a touchdown pass.
Kansas State Coach Chris Klieman tipped his hat to Navy.
The Wildcats finish the season with a 8-5 record.

Kentucky defeated Virginia Tech 37-30 in the Belk Bowl.
Arizona State out scored Florida State 20-14 in the Sun Bowl.
Wyoming rolled to a 38-17 win over Georgia State in the Arizona Bowl.
And Texas defeated Utah 38-10 in the Alamo Bowl.

Michigan plays Alabama in the Citrus Bowl.
Minnesota faces Auburn in the Outback Bowl.
Oregon plays Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl.
