The first of four adults accused of drug activity in a case that developed earlier this month will have his first appearance Thursday.
Christopher Diaz will have his first appearance shortly after 1 pm. Diaz faces charges of marijuana and paraphernalia possession.
The other defendants, Annikah Sosa, Elijah Rowley and Jesse Baker, have their first appearances Monday afternoon. Sosa and Rowley are charged with drug distribution, while Baker is charged with marijuana possession.
The arrests were announced as Emporia Police investigate several shots fired calls in town from Dec. 6-8. However, the adults listed have not been accused of involvement with the shooting activity. Two currently-unnamed juvenile males have. They are charged with burglary with intent to steal a firearm. Word on court dates is pending.
The investigation is ongoing. It has already netted at least five firearms, including an AK-47 rifle and 12-gauge shotgun, and over 1.5 pounds of marijuana, according to authorities.
