Random Acts of Kindness is once again blessing certain members of the community thanks to the efforts of the Lions Club.
Random Acts of Kindness started three years ago after a member of the club heard of a similar program taking place in Colorado, and petitioned the club to have it implemented here locally. Gary Post of the Lions Club pulls the curtain back to explain how Random Acts of Kindness works inside the club.
The idea is to raise money to be able to hand out $100 bills to community members that the club members see as needing a random act of kindness. Post says the act is special and emotional for all parties involved.
Last year, the Lions Club was able to give away twenty-two $100 bills to community members in need.
