The Lyon County Treasurer’s Office could be a busy place Friday.
The deadline to pay the county’s first-half real estate and personal property taxes is at the close of business Friday afternoon. Treasurer Sharon Gaede says residents can bring payments to the office inside the Lyon County Courthouse or they can mail them — and as long as there is a Dec. 20 postmark, the payment will be considered as on time.
Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm weekdays. Gaede will join KVOE’s Newsmaker segment Friday with more information about that deadline, the upcoming vehicle tag deadline and holiday office hours inside the County Courthouse.
