Newman Regional Health recently received recognition for being one of the top quartile rural medical providers this year.
Newman has been recognized with the 2019 Performance Leadership Award in Outcomes. The award, presented by the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health and the Chartis Center of Rural Health, recognizes the top quartile performance among all rural hospitals in the United States in either Quality, Outcomes or Patient Perspective.
Newman CEO Bob Wright says in a news release, “Newman Regional Health is fortunate to have a Board and Medical Staff focused on constantly
improving the services we provide. . . ” In the same release, Newman Chief Quality Officer Cathy Pimple says “Newman Regional Health delivers
high-quality services efficiently and affordably, and helps keep patients close to loved ones during
episodes of care. Our staff provides competent and compassionate care for the medical and surgical
needs of our community. We focus on patient-centered care with continuous quality improvement and
strive to create an outstanding patient experience.”
The award recipients are chosen based on results of the Hospital Strength INDEX from iVantage Health Analytics. The INDEX utilizes data from publicly available data sources and aggregates said data from a list of metrics across eight “pillars of performance.”
