The Emporia High Girls and Boys basketball teams continue play in the Hesston Swather preseason Classic Thursday when they play Nickerson.
The girls game will feature two undefeated teams. Nickerson is also ranked #3 in Class 4A.
Emporia High girls Coach Carolyn Dorsey says this will be a big challenge.
Senior Mya Chapman says there is one area that they will need to focus on.
The Emporia High boys are 2-0 to start the season. Nickerson is 1-1. Coach Beau Welch says they cannot afford to get into halfcourt game.
Senior Skyler Douglas says they will need to stick to the game plan.
Game times from Hesston College are 6pm for the girls and 7:30 for the boys.
Both games will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
