Low-income renters in three area counties can apply for assistance through a program administered by the North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging.
The Area Agency announced it received a $100,000 Tenant Based Rental Assistance grant provided by the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation. Residents in Chase, Morris and Wabaunsee counties can apply for help with security and utility deposits through Flint Hills Housing Assistance, a program administered by the Area Agency.
Last year, over 170 low-income residents received help through the program.
