Over 1,000 cookies were handed out to Emporia teachers, support staffers and administrators as part of USD 253’s annual cookie delivery. As has been the case for years, the event was made possible by the district, Emporia State Federal Credit Union and the Emporia NEA. For board member Grant Riles, the delivery affirms his belief about the things happening to benefit students.
Union representative Traci Meyer called the tour “amazing.”
Credit Union manager Angie Miller credited staff at all levels for their work.
This is the 14th straight year the cookie deliveries have been part of the district’s celebration of American Education Week.
