Trial is coming next week in the case of an alleged armed robbery while a case regarding alleged battery inside the Lyon County Jail has been continued to later this week.
Trial in the case of Harold Stewart is now set to begin on Monday following a final pre-trial hearing in Lyon County District Court Wednesday afternoon. Stewart faces one count of aggravated robbery after he allegedly took money from the Max’s BP convenience store in February after telling the store clerk he had a gun.
Meanwhile, Marcel Wamser has had his case continued until Friday at 1:30 pm following a separate pretrial hearing Wednesday as well. Wamser is charged with aggravated battery. He allegedly attacked a second inmate as that person left the jail in May.
Trial in his case was also scheduled to begin next week.
