Thursday evening at the Emporia Granada Theatre, Emporia Main Street will be holding their annual Public Improvement Auction, featuring many valuable items.
This auction is held every year with the intention of raising funds that assist with implementing new projects, as well as maintaining and updating previous projects downtown. Local businesses have donated several items and they are hot-ticket items, says Main Street Director Casey Woods.
Again, the silent auction and serving of cocktails begins at 5:30 pm. A Bobby D’s Merchant Street Barbecue buffet will be served at 6:00 pm. Lastly, the live auction starts at 6:45 pm, also at this time the silent auction will close.
Individual tickets are $15 or purchase and a block of 10 tickets can be bought for $100, which include the Bobby D’s buffet dinner. A cash bar will also be available. For tickets, call Emporia Main Street at (620) 340-6430 or buy them online at emporiamainstreet.com.
