The USD 252 Southern Lyon County Board of Education got several updates during its meeting Monday night.
One of the updates involved facility improvements, which overall have been underway for about two years across the district. Superintendent Mike Argabright says work is completed at Hartford and Neosho Rapids, although the weather earlier this year has delayed several aspects of the renovations at Olpe.
The board also received a clean audit for the 2018-19 academic year. Superintendent Mike Argabright says it reflects a lot of hard work by district staff. He credited employees for their diligence in keeping the “checks and balances” accurate — which he says is more important in a smaller district than a larger one because of an overlap in duties.
