A Lebo man was involved in an injury crash near Kansas City early Monday, and weather conditions apparently played a role in the wreck.
The Kansas Highway Patrol’s crash log says 30-year-old Derek Berry was northbound on Interstate 35 when his car hit a patch of ice. Berry lost control as his car hit a guardrail and then left the highway towards the center median. Berry’s car hit 20-year-old Elias White of Ottawa and then hit White’s pickup truck.
White had suspected minor injuries but was taken to Overland Park Regional for treatment. Berry was not hurt.
