Wichita State opened their season with a 68-54 win over Nebraska Omaha Tuesday night.
Trey Wade became the first Shocker newcomer in 20 years to debut with a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
Dexter Dennis added 17 points and Grant Sherfield finished with 12 points.
The Shockers never trailed in the game. Their biggest lead was by 20 points.
Wichita State will host Texas Southern Saturday afternoon.
