The major College Basketball season tips-off Tuesday night.
The #3 Kansas Jayhawks will open against #4 Duke. Its part of the State Farm Champions Classic.
Kansas Coach Bill Self says Duke will be good.
Coach Self says one of the match ups to watch will be Devon Dotson and Tre Jones.
Tip-off set for just after 6pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
The other game in the Champions Classic has #1 Michigan State playing #2 Kentucky.
Kansas State opens their season at home against North Dakota State.
Wildcat Coach Bruce Weber says the Bison will be no push over.
Tip-off for that game is set for just after 7pm. The game will be broadcast on Country 101.7FM.
Wichita State tips-off their season hosting Omaha. Tip-off is set for 7pm in Koch Arena.
Kansas senior Udoka Azubuike and sophomore Devon Dotson have been named to the 2020 Citizen Naismith Trophy Men’s Basketball Player of the Year players to watch list. They are 2 of 50 players on watch list.
Azubuike and Dotson have received numerous preseason honors heading into the season. The Associated Press listed the KU duo as receiving votes when it announced its preseason All-America men’s basketball team. Kansas was the only school with two players listed.
Azubuike was named the Preseason Big 12 Player of the Year and Preseason All-Big 12 by the conference coaches. He was also named one of 20 on the Kareen Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year watch list.
Dotson joined Azubuike on the five-member Preseason All-Big 12 team and was one of 20 on the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year watch list.
