Evergy customers in and around Cottonwood Falls had a power outage overnight.
Spokesperson Kaley Bohlen says the outage was planned — and needed — as Evergy had to replace various equipment in the Cottonwood Falls substation to maintain reliability of service.
Bohlen says all went well with the outage, which lasted about four hours.
