The smell of pancakes filled the air at the Anderson building on Saturday with the Emporia Christian School’s 25th annual pancake feed.
The pancake feed is an event the Emporia Christian School puts on every year to raise money for the school. The event along with pancakes also has a silent auction, with items donated by local businesses and members of the community, as well as a wide variety of vendors selling items like jewelry and honey.
The event always gains a huge amount of community support which Principal of the Emporia Christian School Trisha Fullerton says is important because it helps gets the school’s name out there.
In the past, the school has put proceeds from the event into buying Chromebooks for the students and multiple building improvements including a tv for the music room,
a remake on the chapel, and replacing the shades for the lunchroom.
This year proceeds will be put towards building improvements specifically improvements related to the air conditioning.
