Area residents are encouraged to do some Running with the Lions on Saturday.
Logan Avenue Elementary is holding its second annual fundraising 5K starting at 9 am at the school. Teacher Carmen Coughlin says all proceeds help students in different ways.
Registration cost is $25 for adults and $10 for children under age 17. The run is part of the Emporia Recreation Commission’s Super Series. For more information or to register in advance, go online to www.active.com.
