The Madison Bulldogs ran through the Solomon Gorillas 57-0 in first-round playoff action on Halloween night.
Madison opened the scoring in the game’s opening drive off a 45-yard touchdown run by junior Brome Rayburn. An interception and three-yard touchdown run by senior quarterback Ryan Wolgram and two touchdown passes to senior Nassun Wasson and sophomore Drew Stutesman would give the Bulldogs a 35-0 lead at the end of the first. .
In the second quarter, a 64-yard touchdown run by Wolgram, 65-yard pick 6 by Wasson and a 66-yard touchdown run by freshman Bryson Turner would see Madison advance to the second round of the playoffs.
Wasson says head coach Alex McMillian told them to make every play count.
Coach McMillian says this was an extra special win after Solomon ended the Bulldogs playoff hopes last year.
Madison was efficient on both ends of the ball with the offensive boasting 296 total yards and the defense holding Solomon to -11 yards on the night.
Madison now advances and will face either Maranatha Academy or Bennington next Friday.
