The Emporia High boys soccer team advances to the Regional finals after defeating Valley Center 7-1 in Monday nights regional semi-finals.
Wyatt Cahoone started the scoring. Wilber Landaverde scored 3 goals.
Elijah Williams added 2 goals and Hector Hernandez scored a goal.
Coach Victor Ibarra was pleased with the effort.
The Spartans will play the winner of the semi-final match between McPherson and Salina Central in Thursdays regional championship match.
With the win the Spartans improve to 13-4 for the season.
