The Emporia State soccer team lost a heart breaker Sunday. They were out scored by Central Missouri 3-2 in overtime.
Central Missouri scored the first goal of the match. Emporia State tied the match on a Kennedy Hoffman goal in the 26th minute of play. MacKenzie Dimarco broke the tie with a goal in the 83rd minute of play.
Central tied the match on a penalty kick in the 85th minute of play.
They scored the winning goal in the 96th minute of play.
Emporia State is now 10-4-2 for the season and 5-2-2 in the MIAA.
They will close out the regular season Friday against Washburn and Sunday against Nebraska Kearney.
