The Emporia High boys and girls cross country teams advanced to state with second place finishes at the Lake Afton regional Saturday.
The boys were led by Treyson True who finished in 2nd place, Jonathan Laudie finished 9th, Zac Proehl 15th, Sam gillen 17th and Caleb Hollenbeck 29th.
The girls were led by Elizbeth Willhite who finished in 2nd place, Kelsey Boettcher finished in 11th place, Maryn True 14th, Avery Gutierrez 15th and Miranda Taylor 18th.
The Olpe, Osage City and Burlington boys also earned trips to State.
