Emporia Police have finished their investigation into a suspicious letter mailed to Logan Avenue Elementary School this week.
Police Sgt. Lisa Sage says the letter that arrived Monday contained no threat to anybody at the school.
The letter, which contained a reference to radium 226, was mailed Monday through the US Postal Service, according to Police Lt. Scott Stormont. Emporia Fire’s Hazardous Materials Unit investigated and found nothing of a radioactive nature with the letter.
The sender’s name is not being released. No additional information about this case is being divulged.
