Emporia Highs Drue Davis has advanced to day 2 of the 5A State girls golf tournament.
She finished her first round with a 101 and advanced to the final round.
Emporia High did not qualify as a team for day 2. Emporia High Olivia Eckert finished with a 107, Veronica Blankley a 124 and Avary Eckert 138.
The top 6 teams were St. Thomas Aquinas, St. James Academy, Andover, Kapaun Mt Carmel, Maize and Blue Valley Southwest.
Allison Comer of St. James is in the lead with a 79.
2nd round play begins at 9:30am at the Emporia Golf Course.
