The 5A State girls golf tournament is being played at the Emporia Golf Course Monday and Tuesday.
The Emporia High girls golf team is among those competing.
Junior Veronica Blankley was the first Emporia High golfer to tee off, this is her second trip to state.
Senior Drue Davis is making her 3rd State tournament appearance.
Freshman Olivia Eckert is playing in her first State Tournament.
Freshman Avary Eckert will also be playing for Emporia High.
The 2nd round of the tournament will be played Tuesday.
The top 6 teams and the individuals, not on one of the six teams, that bring the day-two field to a total of 54 will qualify for day two.
