For the first time this season the Emporia High football team was shutout. Topeka High defeated the Spartans 27-0 Friday night.
The Spartans were held to 140 yards of total offense.
Ky Thomas led Topeka High with 184 yards on 30 carries but no touchdowns.
Topeka High quarterback DaVonshai Harden scored a rushing touchdown and threw a touchdown pass.
The Spartans with the loss fall to 4-3 for the season. They will host Junction City next Friday.
