The Emporia High volleyball team lost a match and won a match Thursday night.
The Lady Spartans were defeated by Great Bend in 2 sets 25-13, 25-13.
They defeated Hillsboro in 3 sets. 23-25, 25-15, 25-17.
Coach Ashley Nehls was pleased with the way they improved during the night.
The Lady Spartan volleyball team is off until next Saturday when they host a tournament.
