The Emporia Public Library is closed for most of Wednesday.
Director Robin Newell says nearby work on Emporia’s downtown sanitary sewers is prompting the library’s closure until 4 pm. The library typically closes at 8 pm on Wednesdays, and Newell says it will alert the public as soon as possible if the closure is extended past 4 pm.
Both drop boxes will be open while the library is closed.
