The risk for flash flooding officially continues for areas just north and west of Lyon County.
Chase, Morris and Wabaunsee counties remain in flash flood watches until 7 pm, although TV-13 meteorologist Doug Meyers says there may not be widespread flooding after rain Tuesday and the projected totals for Wednesday.
As was the case Tuesday, rain should develop by the late afternoon hours and may wrap up by midnight. Meyers says a frontal boundary stalled over the area, giving us the chance for more rainfall as well as a marginal risk for hail and wind with Wednesday’s storms. Once the front passes, Thursday should be sharply cooler and less humid with highs in the mid-60s. More rain is possible Friday.
