The Granada Theatre was filled with nostalgia during Emporia Symphony Orchestra’s POPS Concert on Tuesday.
The concert was lead by Conductor Ramiro Miranda and featured songs that covered a variety of material including movies, musicals, and video games. Cartoons even got some love with the first of the concert “What’s up at the Symphony?” an arrangement of Looney Tunes songs arranged by Jerry Brubaker.
Other featured arrangments included How to Train Your Dragon, Symphonic Dances from Fiddler on the roof,
Wonder Women, and Andrew Maxfield’s musical narration of the children’s book “They All Saw a Cat” by Brendan Wenzel.
