The Emporia State women finished 3rd and the men 4th at the Emporia State Cross Country Invitational Friday.
The women were led by Hannah Showalter who finished 9th.
Kaitlyn Karjala finished 11th, Sarah Shaar 13th, Nora Wheatley 17th and Joanna Strecker 20th.
Fort Hays State finished 1st led by former Emporia High runner Abby Stewart who finished 2nd.
Hope Saunders of Wichita State finished in 1st place.
The Emporia State men were led by Matthew Maki who finished 4th.
Lucas Shryock finished 19th, Gabe Sams 24th, Connor Young 27th and Matt Goeckel 24th.
Fort Hays State finished 1st, Cloud County 2nd and Hutchinson Community College was 3rd. Wesley Bangure of Colby Community College won the mens race.
