The Emporia State volleyball team was defeated by Missouri Western in 5 sets Thursday night.
17-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-19, 16-14.
Coach Bing Xu made a line up adjustment after the first set and was pleased with the way the team played the rest of the night.
Yuchen Du led the offense with 16 kills. Jessica Hayes and Orianna Clements both added 13 kills.
The Lady Hornets are off until next Tuesday when they host Fort Hays State.
