Emporia welcomes back the fourth annual Field to Feast showcase this coming Saturday.
Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jeanine McKenna says this event highlights the work of the Flint Hills Technical College culinary arts program.
The four-course farm to table meal is prepared solely with locally gathered ingredients and paired with local wines.
The event will be held at the home of Rex and Debbie Williams at 1529 Road K. Social hour and hors d’ourves will be served at 4 pm with the dinner to follow at 5 pm.
Tickets are $100 per person and can be purchased by calling the Chamber of Commerce at 342-1600. Part of the proceeds go back to the culinary arts department.

*Soup: Cassoulet with sausage and duck confit
*Salad: Pear, heirloom tomato, aronia berry balsamic dressing with goat cheese crumbles and candied chestnuts
*Main: Lamb chop and duck breast with aronia berry sauce
*Sides: Oyster mushroom risotto and brown butter herbed longbean
*Dessert: Chestnut panna cotta with chocolate chili sauce
*Sorbet between courses: cantaloupe, peach, orange coriander
