The Atlanta Braves rallied for a 10-2 win over the Kansas City Royals Wednesday night.
The Royals scored the 1st two runs of the game, Nicky Lopez scored on a Meibrys Viloria double in the 2nd inning. In the 4th inning Ryan McBroom scored on a Nicky Lopez bunt single. The Braves scored the next 10 runs.
The Royals are off Thursday before they begin a season ending 3 game series with the Minnesota Twins Friday night.
The Twins clinched the AL Central Wednesday night.
That means all the American League divisional winners have been decided. The Houston Astros have won the west and have the best record in the American League. The New York Yankees won the East. The Wildcards are yet to be decided with Oakland, Tampa Bay and Cleveland still in the running.
In the National league all the play-off teams are decided. Atlanta won the east. The Dodgers won the west.
St. Louis has the lead in the Central by game and a half over Milwaukee, The Brewers clinched a play-off spot Wednesday night. The Washington Nationals will be the other wildcard team.
The regular season ends on Sunday.
Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesi will have surgery to repair his left shoulder after suffering a subluxation during Sunday’s game.
Royals trainer Nick Kenney told reporters on Wednesday that the recovery time will be between five and six months, with the team hoping Mondesi will be ready for Opening Day in March.
Mondesi also suffered a left shoulder subluxation in July.
For the season, he hit .263 with 9 homers and 62 RBIs to go along with 20 doubles, 10 triples and 43 stolen bases in 102 games.
