More details have been given on a single-car crash that occurred late Friday night.
Emergency crews were called out shortly after 10:45 Friday evening. A Hyundai Sonata, driven by Daniel Ince Jr. (37) of Sand Springs, Oklahoma was heading northbound on K99, about 2.5 miles north of Emporia. Ince Jr. left the roadway to the right, struck an embankment and came to rest against a tree in the east ditch.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to Newman Regional Health with suspected minor injuries. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the Kansas Highway Patrol.
