The Emporia State soccer team out scored Fort Hays State 4-2 Friday afternoon.
Fort Hays scored first in the 10th minute of play. Emporia State tied the match when Gaby Crowell scored the first of her two goals in the 20th minute of play. She added her second goal in the 67th minute of play.
Joanie Westcoat scored in the 79th minute of play to give Emporia State a 3-1 lead.
Fort Hays State scored their 2nd goal in the 81st minute of play.
Hannah Woolery would give Emporia State a 4-2 lead with a goal in the 85th minute of play.
Coach Bryan Sailer said they played well.
The Lady Hornets are now 4-1 for the season. They play at Washburn on Sunday.
