The Emporia High boys soccer team out scored Topeka Hayden 5-2 Tuesday night for their 6th win of the season.
Wilber Landaverde scored the first of his 3 goals less then 8 minutes into the match. He added his 2nd goal 50 seconds later. Alvin Arriola added a goal with 41 seconds to play in the half to give the Spartans a 3-1 lead at halftime. Landaverde scored his 3rd goal 1:34 into the 2nd half.
Eli Williams scored the final goal with 1:02 to play in the match.
Coach Victor Ibarra called it a good win.
With the win the Spartans are now 6-1. They play at Highland Park on Thursday.
