The Emporia Splash Pad had the final day of its first season on Sunday.
The final day was a fairly relaxed day with an uncrowded but still busy splash pad. Both kids and adults took advantage of the splash pad.
Many people enjoyed having fun in the sun. Mother Sarah Jones took her kids to 4 or 5 times during the summer tells KVOE News why she thinks it works so well.
The splash pad has received very positive feedback over its first season with members of the community, such as mother Michelle Atchison, saying more splash pads would be great.
The Splash pad will be closed for the winter and fall seasons. Information on plans for the splash pad in 2020 will be announced at a later date.
