The Emporia High football team rolled to a 48-6 win over Topeka West Friday night.
The Spartans led 21-0 after the first quarter. Andrew Wendling scored on a 17 yard pass reception and on a 63 yard run.
Connor Hoyt scored on a 10 yard run and John Miller scored on a 3 yard run as the Spartans led 28-0 at halftime.
Beau Baumgardner, Skyler Douglass and Keegan Lee scored rushing touchdowns in the 2nd half to finish the scoring.
The Spartans held Topeka West scoreless until the final 2 minutes of the game. Coach Corby Milleson was pleased with the win.
With the with the Spartans improve to 2-0 for the season. They will play Legend High School of Park, Colorado next Friday in Scott City.
