The Emporia High volleyball team was defeated by both Shawnee Mission Northwest and Blue Valley Southwest Thursday night.
They lost to Northwest in 3 sets 25-21, 21-25, 12-25.
They were swept by Southwest 25-22, 25-14.
Coach Ashley Nehls said it was still an encouraging night.
The Lady Spartans now 1-3 will play in the Valley Center invitational Saturday.
