The Emporia High gymnastics team finished in 2nd place at Newton in their first meet of the year Tuesday.
Karalyn Karjala finished in 2nd place on the vault, balance beam and floor exercise. She placed 3rd in all-around competition.
Riley Johnson placed 2nd on the uneven bars.
Journey Walburn placed 4th all-around and on the vault. She placed 6th on the beam and floor.
Hattie Walker placed 6th all-around and on the bars, 7th on the floor and 8th on the vault.
